Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), through its Director of the Training Department, applied for the call promoted by the Community for Educational Innovation (CEI) and was selected as part of this European initiative dedicated to educational innovation.
Following this selection, IPN participated in CEI Study Visit 2025-II, a CEI initiative hosted by St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, which took place on 25 and 26 November in Austria.
The main objective of this meeting was to reinforce the strategic vision of knowledge enhancement, promoting the link between research and innovation and reflecting on their social and economic impact.
During a day and a half of work, participants, including Fátima Matias, Director of the IPN Training Department, explored practical strategies for transforming research results into real impact through interactive sessions, keynotes, collaborative exercises and the sharing of international best practices.
The methodology implemented by the facilitators Flavia Colous and Luciana Grillo (PPMI) and by the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences team enabled participants to understand diverse institutional realities across Europe and identify effective solutions to foster research-based innovation. Key topics included intellectual property, technology transfer, academic entrepreneurship, and funding mechanisms.
