Applications are now open for the 6G-VERSUS Venture Accelerator, a European acceleration programme designed to support EU startups and SMEs in developing innovative solutions based on 6G technologies, with a focus on sustainability and business applications.

The initiative will select 25 European startups and SMEs to take part in a 10-week online acceleration programme, running from September to November 2026.

Throughout the programme, participants will have access to specialised mentoring, technical and business workshops, prototyping support, and investor readiness guidance. They will also benefit from access to the project’s technological infrastructure and pilot environments, as well as real-world use cases validated across six European countries.

The programme aims to accelerate the development of innovative technological solutions by strengthening the connection between applied research, experimental development and market readiness, reinforcing the European innovation ecosystem for next-generation networks.

As a partner of the European project 6G-VERSUS, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is part of this collaborative effort to explore the frontiers of 6G and demonstrate the sustainable, economic and societal impact of next-generation mobile networks.

The project is developing pilot activities in Bulgaria, Finland, France, Greece, Portugal and Spain, promoting real-world experimentation and contributing to a more resilient, intelligent and sustainable digital infrastructure.

Applications are open until 10 July 2026 and can be submitted through the application form available here.

Further information about the programme and participation requirements is available on the official 6G-VERSUS website.

The project is funded under the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) within the Horizon Europe programme.
