Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is looking for a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join the team, focusing on the development of advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions applied to innovative projects.

Operational functions:

• Develop and implement advanced Machine Learning systems, including classical Machine Learning techniques, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Generative AI;
• Contribute to research and experimentation activities aimed at developing new Machine Learning models and algorithms;
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate and operationalise Artificial Intelligence solutions across various projects;
• Lead and support multidisciplinary projects of high technological complexity;
• Foster innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Profile:

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions.

Technical Competencies:

• Advanced knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks ( PyTorch, TensorFlow);
• Experience in developing solutions using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and/or Generative AI;
• Ability to design, develop, and implement AI models in real-world environments;
• Experience in integrating AI solutions into software systems.

Transversal competencies:

• Leadership skills and experience in managing complex and multidisciplinary projects;
• Critical thinking, innovation, and strong problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-specialist audiences;
• Access to continuous training and professional development;
• Hybrid working model;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
