On 5 May 2026 at 2.00 pm, the Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) will host a training and demonstration session on the digital transition, organised under the auspices of the PTCentroDiH project – Digital Innovation Hub of the Central Region. The event, co-organised by the IPN in partnership with the Sustainable Habitat Cluster, will take place in the Auditorium of Building D, and will focus on demonstrating practical solutions to the challenges of business digitalisation, ranging from Artificial Intelligence to the Circular Economy.
The session includes a Digital Maturity Assessment, led by Rui Soares (CENTIMFE), which will enable participating organisations to identify their current level of technological development.
Following this, the project partners will deliver a series of technology-focused presentations on the following topics: Artificial Intelligence (Hugo Amaro, IPN and Amílcar Cardoso, UC), Realities that transform business (Nuno Cid and José Marinho, IPC), Accessibility and Data (Paula Alexandra Silva, UC) and Intelligent Data Analysis and Predictive Maintenance (Alberto Cardoso, UC).
Participants also can interact with technological demonstrations developed by the various project partners in key areas such as Digital Twins (AEMITEQ), IoT Sensor Monitoring (IteCons), Computer Vision (CENTIMFE) and Gamified Robotics Platforms (CTCV).
The event will feature a demonstration in a semi-industrial setting of the technological capabilities of IPN’s Testing, Wear and Materials Laboratory (LED&MAT) for the Circular Economy, showcasing innovative solutions for the construction sector through 3D printing techniques and the recycling of photovoltaic panels.
