Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) in partnership SelectUSA Portugal Series, an event dedicated to supporting Portuguese startups, technology companies and SMEs interested in exploring opportunities to expand into the United States.
The initiative, promoted by the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Portugal, will take place on March 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the auditorium of Building D at Instituto Pedro Nunes. This will be the second edition of the event in Portugal and is part of the SelectUSA Portugal Roadshow Series – From Portugal to the United States: Turning Opportunity into Expansion.
The event aims to bring together companies with internationalisation ambitions, providing access to information about the U.S. market, as well as experts and partners who can support the process of expansion and investment in the United States.
The programme includes institutional remarks, a panel dedicated to expansion into the U.S., and a presentation on the SelectUSA programme, as well as networking opportunities and the sharing of experiences among Portuguese companies already operating in that market.
The sessions will address topics such as the regulatory and business environment in the United States, industry trends, market entry strategies, and ways to structure international growth plans.
Confirmed speakers include institutional representatives and experts with experience in the U.S. market, including João Gabriel Silva, President of the Board of Instituto Pedro Nunes, and Jorge Pimenta, Director of Innovation, as well as representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Portugal and business leaders with international operations.
The event is expected to bring together around 50 companies interested in strengthening their international presence and exploring new growth opportunities in the world’s largest economy.
