1st Edition of the IPN Associates Open Day Strengthens Collaboration and Brings the Community Closer

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) held, on 28 November 2025, the first edition of the IPN Associates Open Day, an event specifically dedicated to the entities that make up the Institute’s Association. The initiative aimed to strengthen the relationship between IPN and its Associates, providing direct contact with the Institute’s Units and Laboratories, as well as with their technological capabilities, ongoing projects, and main areas of activity.
The day began with an institutional presentation delivered by João Gabriel Silva, President of the IPN’s Board, who highlighted the Institute’s mission and the contribution of its Units to the regional and national innovation ecosystem.
Throughout the morning, participants took part in guided visits to selected Units and Laboratories, and accompanied by the respective managers and teams. These visits allowed Associates to learn about scientific capacities, technological equipment, and ongoing R&D projects.
The programme also included a networking lunch, which promoted the exchange of experiences between associated entities, researchers and IPN staff, fostering new connections and cooperation opportunities.
The first edition of the IPN Associates Open Day proved to be an important moment of engagement and dynamisation for the associates’ community, reinforcing the commitment of Instituto Pedro Nunes to innovation, knowledge transfer and the continuous support of the entities that form its network.
