Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in the European Researchers’ Night 2025, an event designed to bring science closer to society by fostering dialogue between researchers and the public.

At its stand, IPN showcased the crucial role of plant health in agriculture and environmental sustainability. Through microscopes and interactive games, visitors explored the invisible world of microorganisms and learned how early detection of pests and diseases is key to protecting crops and promoting sustainable agriculture.

The activity was led by IPN’s Phytopathology Lab (Fitolab), which conducts research and diagnostics in plant pathology, contributing to plant protection and food security.
