Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), in partnership with the Lisbon School of Health Technology (ESTeSL), is hosting the course “Collaborative Robotics Applied to Ultrasonography” as part of the TrainR4U project.
Applications are open until November 10, 2025, and admission will be based on the order of registration.
This course provides a practical and scientific approach to ultrasonography, focusing on the application of robotic techniques to support abdominal ultrasound procedures. It is designed for healthcare professionals, particularly radiographers and radiologists, who wish to acquire or enhance their skills in this area.
Participants will have the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge of radiological and abdominal anatomy, understand the physical and technological principles of ultrasonography, and explore emerging applications of this technology, including simulation-based training and robot-assisted techniques.
The course will be taught by experts, including Carlos Azevedo, Robotics Team Coordinator at IPN LAS. He will present robotic techniques applied to ultrasonography and their potential as tools to support diagnosis.
