IPN - Instituto Pedro Nunes - Instituto Pedro Nunes participates in the plenary meeting of the European project 6G-VERSUS

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in the third plenary meeting of the European project 6G-VERSUS, which took place in Aveiro on September 17 and 18, 2025, hosted by the Institute of Telecommunications.

During the meeting, all Work Packages (WPs) and Tasks were presented, providing the consortium with updates on the project’s progress and fostering productive discussions and constructive exchanges among the partners.
The event was further enriched by the participation of members of the Advisory Board, who provided valuable contributions to the project’s strategic alignment.

The IPN was represented by a multidisciplinary team composed of Jorge Pimenta (Innovation Director), Sérgio Figueiredo (Technical Project Manager), Clara Luxo (Innovation Manager), João Gonçalves (Research Fellow), and Rafael Gonçalves (Researcher).

As a consortium partner, IPN plays a strategic leadership role, being responsible for:

• Coordinating the Portuguese cluster of the project;
• Contributing to the research, development and trialing of novel solutions for energy-efficient operation of B5G/6G- enabled vertical applications;
• Designing an acceleration programme for startups in the advanced communications sector;
• Developing activities targeting scaleups;
• Preparing a technology transfer plan to maximise the economic and social impact of the project’s outcomes.
