Instituto Pedro Nunes held the session “Intellectual Property Protection: General Overview and Considerations”, dedicated to the role of intellectual property as a driver of competitiveness and innovation.
The session, which took place in the Nónio Room of Building C at IPN, featured speakers who addressed various aspects of protecting intangible assets.
At the opening, José Ricardo Aguilar highlighted the relevance of intellectual property within the IPN innovation ecosystem, emphasizing its impact on the valorization of the knowledge produced. This was followed by a presentation from André Piteira, who provided an overview of intellectual property rights, and a closing reflection on copyright by David Paula.
The session helped reinforce awareness of the importance of protecting intellectual property as a strategic tool for companies and researchers, underlining IPN’s role in supporting innovation and enhancing the value of knowledge.
