The first edition of INEO KICK - Ignition Programme for Technology-Based Businesses, promoted by Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), took place on 11 July, bringing together more than a dozen entrepreneurs with early-stage business ideas.
During a day of intensive work, the participants had the opportunity to reflect on their personal and professional assets, motivations and to structure their idea by analysing the value proposition and based on critical business dimensions such as clients, team, business model, technology, intellectual property and financing. This work enabled those who took part to draw up a strategic roadmap, which guides the next steps to be taken.
The projects covered areas as diverse as sports management, recruitment, fires, document management, mental health, ticketing, communities, neurodevelopment, personal finance, integrating technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, revealing the diversity of interests and the creative potential of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Centre Region.
Guidance was provided by a multidisciplinary team of IPN mentors and experts, including Carla Duarte (Innovation Manager), Ana Seguro (IPN Incubator Manager), Ana Luísa Jegundo (Director of the Department of Planning and Organisational Management), Marta Soares (Project Manager), Clara Luxo and António Sampaio (Innovation Managers), José Rodrigues (Business Developer) and José Ricardo Aguilar (IPN Lawyer), among other staff who accompanied the participants individually.
INEO KICK came about as a direct response to the demand for support from entrepreneurs with promising profiles who were unable to find a response tailored to the stage of maturity of their business idea. With this initiative, IPN reinforces its role as a support structure for scientific and technological entrepreneurship at all its stages.
