Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in the Materiais2025 Conference, held from July 1 to 3, in Lisbon, Portugal. IPN was represented by researchers Jorge Corker and Sandra Cruz, who presented the scientific poster “APOLLO: A Proactive Approach to the Recovery and Recycling of Photovoltaic Modules”.
The presentation highlighted the progress achieved within the European project APOLLO, which aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the recovery and recycling of end-of-life photovoltaic modules.
As a consortium partner, IPN plays a key role in developing a scalable methodology to identify and characterise the composition of the glass used in these modules. This approach seeks to optimise the recycling process and ensure the efficient recovery of high-value materials.
Through this participation, IPN reaffirms its commitment to sustainable innovation and the energy transition.
