Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in South Summit Madrid 2025, the leading innovation and entrepreneurship event in Southern Europe, held from June 4 to 6 in the Spanish capital.

Representing IPN in an entourage with Startup Portugal were Rui Miranda, Business Accelerator Coordinator, Ana Seguro, Business Incubator Coordinator, António Silva, Communications Director, and Joana Afonso, Project Manager.Three startups supported by IPN were also present: Granter AI, Sqill and Medgical.

The 2025 edition was themed “In Motion,” emphasizing constant transformation in technology, society, and the environment. The event brought together over 20,000 attendees, 7500 startups from 134 countries, 2100 investors, and 400 renowned speakers, including Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, robotics pioneer Dennis Hong, and former Nike CMO Greg Hoffman.

The main aim of IPN's participation was to strengthen the visibility of the Portuguese technological ecosystem, encourage the internationalisation of its startups and strengthen relations with the Spanish market.
