Registration is officially open for the third edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit (Coimbra IS), which will return to the Convento São Francisco in Coimbra on 2 and 3 July 2025. Organised by Coimbra City Municipality (CM), in partnership with the University of Coimbra (UC), the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) and iParque, the event once again affirms Coimbra as one of the country's main innovation and investment hubs.

Coimbra IS maintains its mission to strengthen the municipality's business and innovation ecosystem, reinforcing the attractiveness of the area for national and international investors. This year's edition reinforces the focus on the Technology, Health, Space and, for the first time, Tourism clusters, all strategic sectors for the economic development of the municipality and the Coimbra region.
Registration is free but compulsory and is now available online at https://www.coimbrainvestsummit.pt/, both for the general public and for companies, start-ups and institutions wishing to take part in the Exhibitors' Showcase. Attendance at the exhibition is subject to validation and space availability, and priority will be given to organisations working in the event's thematic areas.
The first day of the Coimbra Invest Summit, 2 July, will be reserved exclusively for invited guests and will include institutional moments such as the meeting of the Municipal Strategic Council for the Development of Coimbra, activities aimed at the Coimbra Ambassadors Network and the Business Merit Recognition Gala, which this year will distinguish nearly 200 companies.
The second day, 3 July, will be open to the public and free to attend upon registration. The programme includes themed panels, talks, workshops and networking moments, ending with a sunset party celebrating the city's innovative spirit. One of the novelties of this edition are the themed workshops, which introduce a more interactive and practical format to the event, as well as the INEO START final, an acceleration programme promoted by Instituto Pedro Nunes.
The 2024 edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit had more than 1,000 participants, and all those who responded to the satisfaction survey recommend the event. For 2025, the aim is to consolidate this success and continue to put Coimbra on the national and international investment radar as a municipality of the future, innovation and opportunities.
