IPN receives Ukrainian delegation to strengthen international cooperation ties

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from a delegation of the Sumy Municipality in Ukraine, as part of the twinning protocolo between Coimbra and Sumy, on 15 November 2024.
João Gabriel Silva, President of IPN’s Board, welcomed the Ukrainian delegation, accompanied by Joana Gouveia Loureiro of the Coimbra City Council. During the visit, the group was able to get to know the institute, with an emphasis on its activities in the areas of incubation and acceleration of startups, scientific innovation, promotion of entrepreneurship in the Region of Coimbra and exploration and support of projects in the area of space.

The visit allowed them to strengthen bonds and stimulate the creation of new opportunities between the two municipalities and IPN.
This initiative was carried out as part of the formalisation of the gemination between Coimbra and Sumy, with the aim to promote growth, exchange and mutual respect between the two municipalities, and of the celebration of a cooperation protocol between the University of Coimbra and the University of Sumy, which aims to boost academic, scientific and cultural collaboration between the two institutions.
