Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received, on March 15th of 2024, a visit from a group of students of the
Penacova Professional School, organized by the
Intermunicipal Community of the Region of Coimbra, with the objective of exploring the impact of European policies through funded projects.
Students from professional courses like Health Assistant Technician, Management Technician and Computer Systems Programming got to know IPN’s innovation and entrepreneurial activities, which were presented by
Marta Salgado Matos, Communication and Marketing Manager.
Ana Seguro, Incubation Coordinator, guided the group through the Business Incubator’s facilities, followed by
Marina Salomão, Project Manager at IPN, who introduced some of the active technologies developed by IPN’s
Automatics and Systems Lab.
The students also had the opportunity to speak with some of IPN’s incubated companies, namely,
Black Monster Media,
Brands&Ninjas and
QLV.group.
Black Monster Media is a company dedicated to customized communication and marketing management services for each client.
Brands&Ninjas is a company that developed a DAAS (data as service) platform that allows brands to evaluate their presence at a point of sale in real time.
QLV.group is a company that provides scientific research consultancy services for students, researchers and organizations.
CIM Region of Coimbra is an intermunicipal community that includes the 19 municipalities of the District of Coimbra, which has been experimenting with a new approach to regional development based on a supra-municipal strategy that, while respecting the political autonomy of each municipality, allows for stronger intervention with economical, social and cultural agents in order to enhance the values of the Region and to affirm it in the national context.
