IPN promotes Acceleration Program for the Internationalisation of Portuguese startups

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) will promote an acceleration program for internationalisation aimed at Portuguese startups, Pro-Global. The program will have two editions and the first will take place between the months of May and July 2024. Applications are now open and will run until May 5th, here.
Pro-Global – Internationalisation Acceleration Program aims to accelerate the internationalisation of technology-based and innovative startups, namely by supporting their internationalisation strategy, expanding their contact networks and identifying business opportunities in foreign markets. The aim is, therefore, to contribute not only to increasing the export capacity of companies, but also to the competitiveness of the national economy.
The program includes a series of activities, such as in-person and virtual missions, coaching/mentoring sessions, tools to support internationalisation, workshops and webinars, and also networking sessions. At the end of the aforementioned activities, there will be a follow-up activity with each of the start-ups, in order to evaluate the impact of the program on the internationalisation process.
At the end of the acceleration program, startups must have developed the following skills: ability to carry out an internal analysis of the company, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the main threats and opportunities; be able to identify the most attractive markets for the company; define an action plan for internationalisation and establish exploratory contacts with entities in the destination markets.
Pro-Global – Acceleration Program for Internationalisation is promoted by IPN within the scope of the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
