Instituto Pedro Nunes hosts the 23rd General Assembly of AED Portugal

On March 21, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) hosted the 23rd General Assembly of AED Portugal, the National Aeronautics, Defence and Space Cluster.
This was the first General Assembly to be held outside Lisbon, as part of a strategy to deepen the mutual knowledge of its members.

In addition to the formal proceedings of the General Assembly, participants had the opportunity to explore some of IPN's units, namely the Testing, Wear and Materials Lab (LED&MAT) and the ESA Space Solutions Centre Portugal.
IPN became a member of the Portuguese Cluster for the Aeronautics, Space and Defence Industries (AED) in 2022, thus strengthening ties with this important ecosystem. Founded in 2016, the AED Cluster Portugal brings together more than 100 Portuguese entities dedicated to the Aeronautics, Space and Defence sectors. By bringing together the main stakeholders in these three sectors, the Cluster plays a crucial role as an entry point into Portugal and as a catalyst for collaboration between national and international players.

The members of AED Cluster Portugal represent a diverse network that includes companies, institutes and academia, providing a favourable environment for the development of significant synergies in various industrial, research and engineering areas.
