International experts in the medical field of teaching and medical robotics met at Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) in a joint effort to plan the delivery of the best training offer from Portugal, Spain, Ireland and Poland.

On 20 and 21 March 2024, national and international medical, educational and medical robotic experts joined forces in the city of Coimbra for the annual meeting of the EIT Health TrainR4U project. The meeting, held at Instituto Pedro Nunes, included representatives from Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Deu, Fundation Sant Joan de Deu, Tecnalia, Sensing Future Technologies, Medical Universidade de Lodz, University of Coimbra and NOVA Medical School.

During the meeting, the partners of the project discussed strategies for exploiting the course in order to make the programme accessible to a diverse audience of students and healthcare professionals, ensuring that education in clinical abdominal ultrasound is widely available and impactful.

As the TrainR4U project progresses, the partners are committed to continuing to collaborate to advance medicine and ensure a healthier future for all.

The primary aim of this course is to empower both current and future healthcare professionals by providing them with the necessary competences to acquire and improve skills in clinical abdominal ultrasound. With a comprehensive and practical approach, the programme aims to enable participants to perform accurate examinations and interpret the results effectively, thus promoting better clinical practice and improved patient care.

EIT Health TrainR4U is a project coordinated by Instituto Pedro Nunes, dedicated to promoting advanced training in clinical abdominal ultrasound. Bringing together a network of prestigious health and education institutions in Europe, the project seeks to train health professionals with the necessary skills to offer superior quality care to patients.
