Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in the public presentation of ATTRACT, the digital innovation hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC), which aims to support the ongoing digital transition by accelerating and increasing the impact of these technologies in companies.

The session, held at the Palácio do Freixo in Porto, showcased the various services that ATTRACT provides to companies, especially SMEs and the Public Administration, namely in the design, development and adoption of methodologies and solutions that exploit the potential of AI and HPC. The project allows companies to purchase services at discounts of up to 80 percent of the investment.

Mónica Ferreira, Project Manager of IPN, moderated the panel on the Impact of the use of AI and HPC in companies, in which the audience had the opportunity to witness experiences using these technologies that have contributed to innovation and the boosting of Portuguese companies in different sectors.

IPN will support companies in the definition of the Digital Maturity Assessment, establishing the starting point and individual needs for each company, and will provide specialised technical services for the development of solutions incorporating AI and HPC, organise pre-acceleration and acceleration programs for start-ups and support companies by sharing funding opportunities.

The consortium is led by INESC-TEC and has a network of 24 partners experienced in AI and HPC. The project is funded by the European Commission through the Digital Europe programme and the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan - Component 16 - Enterprises 4.0.
