Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), through its Wear, Testing and Materials Lab (LED&MAT), hosted and promoted the 3DBIW - 3D Bioprinting Iberian Workshop, on 28 and 29 November, in collaboration with Paralab, Paralab Bio, CELLINK and the Portuguese Materials Society.
The event provided a unique opportunity for professionals and enthusiasts in the field to explore 3D bioprinting technologies. Divided into morning lectures and afternoon practical workshops, participants were able to delve into the current applications of 3D bioprinting.
Experts in the field shared their experiences, providing information on the innovative developments that are shaping the sector, with a focus on topics such as extrusion-based and light-based printing, offering a holistic understanding of the technology's potential.
The workshops, structured for small groups, allowed for a more personalised learning experience. Participants actively engaged with 3D bioprinting technologies by taking part in hands-on bioprinting demonstrations and discussions on experimental design and best practice.
