Risimet and StockEdge, companies incubated at Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), were selected in the 2nd call of Portugal Ventures' Call Innov-ID program and will receive 100 thousand euros of investment (pre-seed round) to accelerate their development.

The Innov-ID Call programme was created by Portugal Ventures, a venture capital company of the Banco Português de Fomento Group, in partnership with the National Innovation Agency. The programme aims to empower projects or companies in growth, at an early stage, so that they have sufficient financial availability and equity to develop and generate new rounds of capital. It should be noted that of the 48 companies invested so far by Portugal Ventures, 11 are part of the IPN ecosystem.

Risimet is developing the RISIMET method (RIng for SImultaneous Massage and ElectroTherapy) which consists in the simultaneous execution of two of the most used techniques in physiotherapy, manual massage and low frequency electrotherapy. This method increases effectiveness and reduces both the period of each treatment and the total number of sessions. The innovative character of the Risimet method gives new opportunities in various areas of physiotherapy treatment, from musculoskeletal, neurological to traumatology.

StockEdge is designing an artificial intelligence-based platform that monitors the luxury fashion industry and converts vast amounts of global market data into metrics, thus allowing retailers and brands greater transparency and more liquidity in this market.
