Stratio and SBS Transit move forward with the largest predictive maintenance project in the world

Stratio, the world leader in predictive maintenance solutions for public transport, based at Instituto Pedro Nunes in Coimbra, has announced a strategic collaboration with transport company SBS Transit to increase the reliability of public transport in Singapore by implementing predictive maintenance technology across the entire bus fleet. This project will be the largest in the world and will cover more than half of Singapore's bus network. The project will minimise bus downtime, reduce operating costs and improve the passenger experience.

Founded and based in Coimbra at Instituto Pedro Nunes' (IPN) accelerator, Stratio was created to improve the quality of public transport and help operators guarantee an excellent service that passengers can trust. Stratio's predictive maintenance technology takes advantage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and works as an early warning system that allows operators to predict faults before they occur and take measures in advance to avoid service interruptions.

Stratio's proven success in reducing costs and increasing the reliability and efficiency of transport services around the world has made it possible to close this partnership with SBS Transit. This collaboration will involve more than 3,000 buses on the Singapore network operating with technology developed in Coimbra. This milestone reinforces Coimbra's reputation as a centre of technological innovation for mobility and strengthens Stratio's position as a global player in the transport industry.
