Silicon Valley comes to Lisbon will be held in Lisbon on the 17th and 18th November 2011. The event is being organized by Beta-i with the full support of the Silicon Valley comes to the UK organization.
Silicon Valley Comes to Oxford is a yearly event running for 10 years now. It brings together academics, students and entrepreneurs to share knowledge and experience. The networking and mentoring sessions have inspired many Oxford students to follow their own entrepreneurial dreams, for others it has provided the practical advice, the fuel to grow their new ventures or helped them find the right job at the right time.
Silicon Valley Comes to Lisbon is a non-profit event with the goal of promoting intercultural and intellectual sharing, as well as to provide a place of networking for people from diverse backgrounds. Its network-oriented approach provides participants with ample opportunities to interact with other participants and with the speakers be it in informal coffee breaks or in private mentoring, speed networking, discussion panels and master classes.n panels and master classes.
It is the anchor event of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Portugal. The GEW is a partnership with the Kauffman Foundation and APBA (Portuguese Business Angels Association) and SEDES ( Association for the Economic and Social Development), and in Portugal it has the high patronage of His Excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic.
