Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) and idD Portugal Defence will host the webinar "NATO DIANA – Prepare Your Application for the 2027 Challenges" on 9 June at 10:00 AM. The information session is aimed at companies, startups, R&D centres and other stakeholders within the national innovation ecosystem interested in developing dual-use technologies with potential applications in the Defence and Security sectors.
The initiative follows the launch of the new technological challenges for the NATO DIANA 2027 Challenges and seeks to support national entities in preparing their applications while strengthening Portuguese participation in NATO’s acceleration programme.
This edition focuses on six strategic challenge areas: Human Survivability, Multidomain Autonomy of Uncrewed Systems, Multidomain Sensing and Advanced Data Processing for Intelligence and Surveillance, Operational Resilience in Contested Environments, Responsive Logistics, and Scalable and Adaptable Countermeasures for Air Defence.
During the session, participants will be introduced to the challenges launched by NATO DIANA, as well as the requirements and opportunities associated with the application process. The programme will also feature Connect Robotics, a Portuguese company that will share its experience within the programme, providing practical insights into the application journey and solution development process.
NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) is NATO’s accelerator programme dedicated to supporting innovative companies developing emerging and disruptive technologies with dual-use potential. During the first phase of the programme, selected participants receive 100.000€ in funding to develop their solutions.
