Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN)

Created in 1990 through a University of Coimbra initiative, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is a private non-profit organisation which promotes innovation and the transfer of technology, establishing the connection between the scientific and technological environment and the production sector.

Mission

Contribute to transforming the business fabric and organisations in general by promoting a culture of innovation, quality, rigour and entrepreneurship, based on a solid university/company relationship and acting on three fronts that reinforce and complement each other:

  • Research and technological development, consultancy and specialised services;
  • Incubation and acceleration of Incubation and acceleration of ideas and businesses;
  • Specialised training and dissemination of science and technology.
