The initiative aims to empower and mobilise businesses to effectively adopt decarbonisation solutions, promoting knowledge transfer, the practical demonstration of technologies and the sharing of good practices adapted to the reality of SMEs.

As part of the project, IPN, in partnership with TecMinho, delivered three training sessions entitled “Climate Change and ESG: Challenges for the Agri-Food Sector”, held in the North, Centre and Alentejo regions. The sessions helped strengthen knowledge, encourage the sharing of experiences and provide companies with tools to support their transition towards more sustainable models.

Three sessions of the “Circular Strategies” workshop are also planned for SMEs in the agri-food sector. The initiative aims to support companies in identifying and developing their circularity potential through the identification of strategies and opportunities applicable to their activities.

The workshop sessions are free of charge and are aimed at SMEs in the agri-food sector. Companies interested in participating can contact IPN for further information.

The project is being carried out by a consortium comprising Instituto Pedro Nunes, PortugalFoods, InovCluster, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Universidade do Minho, Colab4Food and TecMinho.
