The European AEROFUSE project, coordinated by Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), is promoting new free training opportunities in aeronautics and aerospace through its Blended Learning Platform and Aerospace Learning Hub (ALH). The programme includes online courses covering topics such as safety culture, human factors, manufacturing processes and quality, as well as sessions on diversity, communication and innovation.
The Blended Learning Platform offers online courses in English covering different areas of the aeronautical industry. These include Safety Culture & Just Culture, focusing on safety culture and just culture; Human Factors Awareness, dedicated to human factors; Aircraft Production Flow & Shopfloor Roles, covering aircraft production processes and shopfloor roles; Quality & Traceability Basics, focusing on the fundamentals of quality and traceability; and Additive Manufacturing, dedicated to additive manufacturing.
Registration for the first four courses is open until 28 October, while the deadline for Additive Manufacturing is 13 November. The courses are delivered online, allowing participants to develop their knowledge of areas relevant to manufacturing processes, quality and safety in the aeronautical industry.
The Aerospace Learning Hub (ALH), in turn, offers shorter training sessions dedicated to specific topics that complement technical skills. These include The Diversity Paradox: When Difference Helps, When It Hinders, and How to Navigate, focusing on diversity and its challenges; The Lifeblood of Teams: Communication for Collaboration, Performance, and Trust, focusing on communication, collaboration and trust within teams; and From Innovation to Certification: Manufacturing and Quality in Aerospace, dedicated to manufacturing processes and quality in the aerospace sector.
As sessões The Diversity Paradox and The Lifeblood of Teams will take place on 9 and 10 November, respectively. From Innovation to Certification is scheduled for 25 November. Advance registration is required.
These training opportunities are part of the European AEROFUSE project and aim to promote the development of skills relevant to the aerospace sector, covering both technical knowledge and transferable skills.
Further information about the courses and sessions is available through the Blended Learning Platform and the site oficial do projeto AEROFUSE.
