Instituto Pedro Nunes establishes cooperation agreement with Nanyang Technological University

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) has established a cooperation agreement with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, one of the world's leading universities, to develop collaborative research and promote innovation in the field of additive manufacturing.

As an initial step, the partnership will focus on joint research activities between NTU's Singapore Centre for 3D Printing and IPN LED&MAT Laboratory. The collaboration builds on the complementary expertise of both institutions and their strong commitment to applied research, technology transfer, and addressing industrial challenges.

The cooperation will combine the knowledge and experience developed by the two institutions across different stages of the additive manufacturing value chain, strengthening their research and innovation strategies. The partnership is also expected to create new opportunities for collaboration with industry, facilitate access to international markets, and expand cooperation networks with a positive impact on technological competitiveness.

Nanyang Technological University is ranked 12th in the QS World University Rankings 2026, among 8,467 institutions evaluated worldwide. It is also the third-best university in Asia, ranks second globally in Materials Science and is among the world's top five institutions in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. NTU's position among the world's leading universities reflects the institution's excellence and underscores the potential of this collaboration to drive research and innovation in additive manufacturing.
