On 1 October 2026, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) took part in IFS Forum Lisboa 2026, in Lisbon, as part of the DigiTool4Agri project, an initiative supporting the digital transformation and capacity building of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agri-food sector.
IFS Forum brings together professionals from the food industry, logistics, retail, certification bodies, consultancy and service providers, experts, and other stakeholders across the food supply chain, promoting knowledge and experience sharing around IFS standards and key challenges in food safety, quality, certification, and sustainability.
Throughout the event, IPN presented DigiTool4Agri, showcasing the project’s approach to the digital transformation of agri-food SMEs and the opportunities available to support process digitalisation and the adoption of management and certification systems.
Developed by IPN, CATAA, NERVIR, NERE, and InovCluster, DigiTool4Agri operates across the Central, Northern, and Alentejo regions of Portugal, with the aim of strengthening the efficiency and competitiveness of SMEs in the agri-food sector.
The project involves the development of a digital platform designed to support companies in implementing standards in the areas of quality, food safety, innovation, and sustainability. The platform is complemented by awareness-raising, capacity-building, and technology demonstration activities, supporting the adoption of new tools and practices across the sector.
Participation in IFS Forum Lisboa 2026 provided an opportunity to strengthen the connection between DigiTool4Agri and professionals and organisations across the food supply chain, promoting knowledge sharing and identifying opportunities for collaboration around the digital transformation of agri-food SMEs.
O projeto Digitool4Agri é um projeto co-financiado pelo Compete2030 através da medida SIAC Digitalização.
