Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) welcomed a delegation from the Łódź Region, Poland, on 16 September 2026, as part of an economic mission focused on the life sciences sector. The visit aimed to promote the exchange of experiences and identify potential opportunities for cooperation between the innovation ecosystems of Portugal and the Łódź Region.
During their visit to Instituto Pedro Nunes, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the work carried out in the areas of entrepreneurship, technological innovation and life sciences through presentations and visits to the IPN Incubator and IPN HealthProof Lab.
Ana Seguro, Incubation Coordinator and Project Manager at IPN, presented the work carried out by the IPN Incubator, highlighting the support provided to startups and innovative projects and its contribution to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and technology transfer.
The visit continued at IPN HealthProof Lab, where Eugénia Peixoto, Head of Business Development - Medical Device Regulatory & Clinical Services, presented the work carried out by the Lab, giving the delegation an overview of its activities and areas of work.
The mission brought together representatives of companies from the life sciences and medical technologies sectors, academic and research institutions, experts, and non-governmental organisations from the Łódź Region.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on the development of innovation ecosystems and support for companies and innovative projects, contributing to closer ties between the innovation communities of Portugal and the Łódź Region and to exploring potential areas for future collaboration.
