During the event, the 11 participating teams presented their projects to an audience of investors, innovation ecosystem experts, institutional representatives and potential partners, within the framework of the Startup Pitch Competition integrated into the Startup Capital Summit.

Designed for early-stage technology-based projects and advanced services, Ineo Start supports teams originating from entities within the research and innovation system, including higher education institutions, technology centres, technology transfer centres and other research and innovation organisations. Throughout the programme, participants had access to practical workshops, one-to-one mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, as well as preparation for presenting their solutions to investors.

The projects presented in this edition covered areas such, digital health, space technology, agriculture, education, energy and digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.

The projects presented were:

• Canoo – B2B platform that helps marketing teams find, evaluate and hire media suppliers through data and artificial intelligence;
• Coalex.ai – an AI governance platform combining human oversight and continuous learning to ensure compliance, control and ongoing improvement of AI systems;
• Dormio – a digital health platform that detects sleep apnea risk through a smartphone and connects users with specialised diagnostic and treatment services;
• Ignis Space – a persistent and repositionable aerostatic platform, deployable within minutes, designed for continuous surveillance and resilient communications in scenarios where drones and fixed infrastructures fall short;
• Alquira – an AgriTech platform that helps farmers' associations prepare subsidy applications faster and more efficiently;
• Sentinel.ai – a platform for predictive maintenance of critical infrastructure, capable of detecting failures in advance in an auditable and safety-compliant manner, using artificial intelligence;
• SIMU – an EdTech platform for medical training that uses AI-powered virtual patients to simulate clinical consultations and develop clinical skills;
• First Impression – a recruitment platform that uses video and artificial intelligence to assess candidates and accelerate hiring processes; 
• Geometrica – a solution that monitors complex data and identifies anomalies and regime changes in real time through deterministic mathematical models;
• Quasi – a wireless energy transmission technology designed to power active devices and future energy infrastructures, namely for space;
• realQTY – a model that enables SMEs to unlock liquidity from their real estate assets while providing investors with access to fractional real estate income opportunities.

Dormio, one of the teams participating in this edition of Ineo Start, was awarded the Startup category prize at the Pitch Competition held during the Startup Capital Summit.

The Demo Day embedded in the Startup Capital Summit programme, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, companies, institutions and other innovation ecosystem stakeholders, while creating opportunities for visibility, collaboration and connections between emerging projects and strategic partners.

Launched in 2010, Ineo Start is Portugal’s longest-running acceleration programmes. Over the years, it has supported more than 170 entrepreneurial teams, contributing to the creation of innovative startups across multiple sectors and establishing itself as a national reference in supporting technology-based entrepreneurship.
