Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) marked the culmination of the 9th edition of Summer@IPN, a non-curricular summer internship programme that brings university students closer to the professional world and the innovation ecosystem.
This edition of Summer@IPN received 109 applications, with 28 students selected to undertake internships across 9 incubated companies and 7 IPN laboratories and departments. Over three months, interns had the opportunity to experience different professional environments, apply the knowledge acquired during their studies, and develop new skills.
On September 11 2026, Summer@IPN Wrapped party brought together interns, supervisors, and the IPN community to mark the end of the programme. The event began with a session dedicated to the participants, which included a review of the edition and a surprise prepared by the supervisors.
The celebration continued with an informal gathering that provided an opportunity for interns, supervisors, and the IPN community to share experiences and mark the journey completed over the summer.
Across its nine editions, Summer@IPN has contributed to bringing university talent closer to the companies and organisations that are part of Coimbra’s innovation ecosystem, creating opportunities for students to experience different professional environments and for organisations to welcome new talent.
