At the Testing, Wear and Materials Laboratory (LED&MAT) we carry out R&D and technology transfer activities for companies in the field of materials and manufacturing processes, in the areas of surface modification, energy efficiency and manufacturing using innovative technologies. We also perform a wide range of tests to characterise the physical, chemical, mechanical and tribological properties of different types of materials. We aim to contribute to the perfect symbiosis between fundamental research and industrial application.
