The main objective of the CTI project is to deepen the effort to expand and consolidate the network of interface institutions between the academic, scientific and technological system and the Portuguese business sector, ensuring the necessary support to enhance their impact in promoting investment in R&D and innovative investment in companies, particularly with regard to their export potential.
• Promote innovation, with a view to increasing the technological intensity of Portuguese companies and enabling them to compete more effectively in international markets.
• Increase the transfer, valorisation and exploitation of scientific and technological knowledge originating from the academic, scientific and technological system.
• Stimulate the creation and support the growth of knowledge-based spin-off and high-tech companies.
• Strengthen the organisation’s structure, reinforcing cross-cutting units and tools.

Through this project, IPN aims to consolidate the institution’s growth trend, expanding into new areas of activity while placing a strong focus on internationalisation.
The CTI project is supported by the base funding component of the Technology and Innovation Centre (CTI), under Call for Proposals (AAC) No. 03/C05-i02/2022, within the scope of the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). IPN is recognised as a Technology and Innovation Centre (CTI) under Order No. 2688/2022.
