Instituto Pedro Nunes welcomes international visit as part of Erasmus+ 2Fast2Innovative project

Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) welcomed a group of participants from the Erasmus+ project 2 Fast 2 Innovative – Promoting Social Entrepreneurship in Youth on 29 October 2026. The project is promoted by Hawk Stars NGO – Association for Education, Innovation and Social Development. The visit aimed to introduce participants to IPN’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, promoting the exchange of experiences and good practices in the fields of social entrepreneurship and territorial development.

During the morning, Ana Seguro, Incubation Coordinator and Project Manager at IPN, presented IPN, highlighting its role in promoting entrepreneurship, technological innovation and knowledge transfer, as well as the support it provides for the creation and growth of innovative companies. This was followed by a presentation of the Fator C’Idade project, which focuses on promoting active and healthy ageing. The project addresses the challenges associated with an ageing population through innovation, knowledge valorisation and the development of solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life of older people.

In the afternoon, the programme continued in Penela with a visit to Habitat for Innovation in Strategic Sectors (HIESE). Salomé Dias, Executive Director of HIESE, presented the organisation's work and guided the participants through its facilities.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the projects and activities developed by Science 351 and Equigerminal through visits to their respective laboratories and presentations of their areas of activity. The visit concluded with an immersive virtual reality experience organised by Verdade D’Imaginação.

The visit to IPN’s innovation ecosystem and the organisations involved provided insights into different experiences and approaches, encouraging reflection on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in developing solutions to social and territorial challenges.
