Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from a group of PhD students and professors of Business Administration and Management from the
University of West Santa Catarina of Brazil (UNOESC), on 9 October of 2024.
The purpose of the visit was to deepen the visitors’ knowledge of innovation and technology projects, with a special focus on the role of universities in this ecosystem.
Ana Seguro, IPN’s Coordinator of Incubation, welcomed the committee and showcased the institute’s assets, namely the Business Incubator and Accelerator and the several Research and Development (R&D) labs.
The visitors were also able to explore the incubation models adopted by IPN for supporting tech based startups and projects, and the institute’s participation in projects related to innovation and technology, while being an organisation linked to the
University of Coimbra (UC).
This visit was an opportunity to share IPN’s experience in creating startups, acceleration and incubation projects, and international cooperation initiatives, reinforcing the importance of innovation networks between countries. The visit also allowed to establish new foundations for new synergies between Portuguese and Brazilian institutions.
