Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is promoting an acceleration programme for early stage startups with solutions based on
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
High Performance Computing (HPC), happening in October and November of 2024. This programme is organised as part of the
ATTRACT DIH project - Digital Innovation Hub.
This programme focuses on growth strategies and market expansion, aimed at startups who seek to validate their business ideas, technological solutions and develop essential competencies for entrepreneurship. The applications are open until

During the three in-person sessions, the participants will have access to workshops, AI founders talks and mentoring sessions covering topics such as: business models, guidance for developing products and businesses based on AI or HPC, funding opportunities, intellectual property and the AI ethics and regulatory framework. The programme culminates with
Demo Day, during which the startups will present a pitch about the products they are developing before an audience of investors, stakeholders, experts and potential clients.

José Ricardo Aguilar, Head of IPN’s Legal and Intellectual Property Department,
Carla Duarte, Innovation Manager at IPN,
José Rodrigues, Business Developer at IPN,
Mónica Ferreira, Project Manager at IPN,
Guilherme Ramos Pereira from Data Science Portuguese Association (DSPA) and
Vasco Teles from the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) will be present.
The
ATTRACT DIH project is part of the
European Digital Innovation Hub network which gathers the main research and technology transfer centres in the country, aiming to support the on-going digital transition in Portugal and in Europe. The consortium is led by INESC-TEC and has a network of 24 partners experienced in AI and HPC, including IPN.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through the
Next Generation EU programme and by the
Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
