Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) participated in the first Pact for Skills Forum held on March 21 and 22, 2024, in Brussels. Hosted by the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (DG EMPL) of the European Commission, the event served as a platform to celebrate the accomplishments of the Pact for Skills initiative and set the course for its future trajectory.
The Pact for Skills initiative, of which IPN is a member, aims to bridge the gap between skills supply and demand, fostering a more resilient and competitive European workforce. This project aligns with IPN's mission to promote innovation and drive economic growth through skill development.

At the forum, Fátima Matias, Training Department Coordinator of IPN, joined policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders from across Europe to exchange insights and best practices on upskilling and reskilling strategies. The event featured a diverse range of sessions, including high-level plenaries, interactive thematic workshops, and informal networking opportunities.
One of the highlights of the forum was the opportunity for participants to share their experiences and recommendations for enhancing the impact of the Pact for Skills at both regional and European levels. Through collaborative discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, attendees explored innovative solutions to the challenges facing the European labor market and identified key priorities for future action.
IPN showcased its commitment to fostering skills development and innovation through its active participation in the forum.
