On 14 and 15 September, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from a delegation from Jordan Start, an accelerator in the city of Irbid, Jordan, as part of the Innovation Support Programme (ISP).

The delegation, made up of Huda Ahmed Obidat and Muhanad Rashad Yaseen, came to deepen their knowledge in areas identified after the first visit. Jordan Start's first visit to IPN took place in May this year, during which they learned more about IPN's incubation and acceleration processes and the services and programmes that IPN provides to the community.

During the September visit, the Jordan Start team had the opportunity to explore three of IPN's laboratories, the Laboratories for Testing, Wear and Materials (LED&MAT), the Laboratory for Informatics and Systems (LIS) and the Laboratory for Automatics and Systems (LAS). Huda Obidat and Muhanad Yaseen also got to know the Department for Valorisation of Knowledge and Innovation (VCI), having delved into the subject of open innovation.

The Innovation Support Programme aims to support incubators, science and technology parks and other similar organisations in the public and private sectors by developing the implementation of collaborative projects with the Southern Neighbourhood countries (ISP-Southern Neighbourhood).

The Innovation Support Programme for The Southern Neighbourhood is an initiative of the European Investment Bank (EIB), brokered by INTEGRATION International Management Consultants GmbH of Frankfurt, Germany.
