ADSA
Supporting Atlantic Digital Startups to go International

Challenge

The digital economy is  rapidly growingworldwide. It is the main driver of innovation, competitiveness and growth and holds enormous potential for European entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Unfortunately, only two percent of European companies take advantage of new digital opportunities (EC Europe). Despite some unawareness, Europe and specifically countries of the Atlantic Region have many success stories globally in the digital marketplace. By supporting new startups in the digital economy from an early stage, allowing them to adapt and benefit from international opportunities, these success stories have the potential to grow.

Solution

The ADSA project supports digital startups going international and thus contributes in the cooperation in exploiting R&D results and creating knowledge-extensive companies capable of entering international markets.
Digital startups develop innovative ideas that can reach the market very quickly. The ADSA project will also enhance cooperation between the scientific community, business and government actors, since the partnership includes organizations from all across the triple helix.
By supporting digital startups to grow internationally, the ADSA project contributes to increasing R&D investment in the private sector, which is a key issue in the region as these investment rates are low across the Atlantic region.
