Master of Software Engineering (MSE) Carnegie Mellon - Universidade de Coimbra
The Professional Master of Software Engineering Program, offered jointly by the Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Coimbra, is an advanced program explicitly designed to educate the future leaders of industrial software engineering practice. It aims at training graduates for effectively managing teams, projects and processes, as well as large scale software development.
The program is offered as a dual degree. Successful students will receive a diploma from the University of Coimbra as well as the corresponding diploma from the Carnegie Mellon University. This is possible because both courses are offered together synchronously, with the same quality criteria and admission requirements.
Recognizing its relevance for the industry and the high-quality of the education provided, for interested students, eight companies are willing to fully-fund the studies, coving both tuition and living costs during the 16 months, hiring the graduates at end of the program. The companies involved are: Novabase , PT , Critical-Software , EDISOFT , Enabler, Wit-Software , ISA , and Telbit .
