Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received representatives of the Research and Development Department of the Japanese company
CEPCO - Chubu Electric Power Co., during a visit promoted by the
Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP), on February 23rd of 2024.
The delegation was received by
Rui Miranda, Coordinator of the Business Accelerator, who presented IPN and its commitment in supporting the transformation of innovative ideas into businesses and products.
João Paulo Dias, Director of IPN’s Laboratory for Wear, Testing and Materials, introduced the projects developed in the field of materials, giving as well a detailed perspective on the production of hydrogen through photovoltaic energy and the potential of second life batteries.
Diogo Moura, of Balancell, a company focused on the development of “smart” batteries, presented its solution of MWh personalized container systems.
Ricardo Awazu, of the incubated S&DG Consulting, dedicated to the development of solutions for energy storage, introduced the air battery system developed by the company.
