Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from a group of students and professors, as part of the “
Blended Intensive Programme in Embedded Systems” of the
Coimbra Engineering Institute (ISEC), on March 14th of 2024.
The visit began with a presentation by
Marta Salgado Matos, Communication and Marketing Manager, who presented IPN’s mission. The students also got to know more about IPN’s Research Labs and its various Research and Development projects and activities.
Then,
Alexandre Almeida, IPN’s Incubator Project Manager, highlighted IPN’s role in supporting the incubation of startups, as well as presenting the catalog of services available to companies.
João Quintas, Coordinator of the R&D Project Unit of the Laboratory for Automatics and Systems (LAS), presented the Lab, providing the students a more detailed vision of some of the technological assets developed by IPN, with a focus on embedded systems and automation.
The
BIP “Embedded Systems” is part of the
Erasmus + Programme and it is fruit of a collaboration between various superior education institutions from different countries, including Germany’s Fachhochschule Dortmund, Belgium’s Haute Ecole Louvain en Hainaut, Poland’s Politechnika Wroclawska and Spain’s Oviedo University.
